Hire Me
For many years, I enthusiastically participated in conferences, workshops, universities, and training programs as a guest speaker and instructor. It was an incredible experience and one that I continue to enjoy. However, my schedule has become considerably busier over time, requiring me to be more selective in the opportunities and engagements that I accept. Feel free to ask availability anytime.
Consulting
I selectively engage in complex digital forensic, attribution, and investigative matters, limiting the number of active cases to ensure maximum dedication, responsiveness, and availability to each client.
Legal consultation services are billed at $500 per hour with a minimum retainer of $10,000. I primarily work with attorneys, organizations, and investigators within the United States. Although my current caseload is generally full, I remain open to discussing matters that may be of particular interest or significance.
Please do not transmit case details, evidence, or confidential information by email. Initial contact should be limited to your name, organization, and telephone number so that a call can be scheduled.
Peer Review
Peer review assignments are regularly accepted and often involve identifying errors, inaccuracies, omissions, unsupported conclusions, and alternative interpretations within reports authored by opposing experts.
Peer review services are billed at $450 per hour with a minimum engagement of five hours.
Presentations & Keynotes
I remain available for a limited number of presentations, keynote addresses, and educational events each year. Most engagements are scheduled well in advance.
Speaking fees typically begin at $5,000 per day within the continental United States (CONUS) and range up to $15,000 per day for international or overseas engagements (OCONUS), plus travel expenses. Fees may be adjusted based on location, audience, and nonprofit status.
Corporate Workshops & Training
Organizations interested in hosting workshops, seminars, or customized training programs are encouraged to inquire about scheduling and availability. Programs can be tailored to specific investigative, digital forensic, attribution, or casework objectives.
Writing
I am currently working on Placing the Suspect Behind the Keyboard, Vol. 3: DFIR Investigative Strategies, with publication planned in the near future. Following that effort, I intend to begin work on the third edition of the X-Ways Forensics Practitioner’s Guide.
I no longer accept ghostwriting engagements. While I have ghostwritten and co-authored projects in the past, I now focus exclusively on writing under my own name and in my own voice.
Travel
I have presented, taught, consulted, or worked cases in 32 states and 8 countries across 3 continents. Travel is generally unrestricted except to regions experiencing active armed conflict.
For booking, speaking inquiries, peer review requests, or consulting opportunities, please contact me by email and include a telephone number for a return call. There are no agent booking fees.
